Rad Reading April

For this month I read Pax by Sara Pennypacker. This is a fiction novel about a boy named about a boy named Pete and has a fox named Pax and their bond is unbreakable. That all wouldn’t last for a long time. A war starts and Pete’s dad was sent to go participate and help out. This makes Pete move away and leave Pax in the wild. Pete now goes on a journey to reunite with Pax. Will Pete and Pax finally reunite happily ever after?

I really recommend reading Pax by Sara Pennypacker. The author did a good job on describing the type of bond Pete and Pax had together and what Pete was going through throughout the story.. This book gave friendship vibes and Pete and Pax were inseparable.

Pete, the main character was my favorite character in book because of how caring he was. On pg 95 it says that when Pete found Pax near death he really wanted to save him. This proves he is caring because he helped him out and protected him.

My favorite quote from the book was “no matter how bad things got, we could always make ourselves new again.” This was my favorite quote because when something isn’t going your way, tomorrow is always the day you can have a fresh start.

Influential Woman

Somebody that has been influential in my life is my mom. Here is why I chose her. Even though she still scolds me, she always tries to make time for me and works so hard to help others. My favorite thing about her is that she is protective and loving. She always looks out for me and my siblings before herself. My mom always gives me special advices about life, basketball, and when life tough. She my number one best supporter when I play basketball even though she doesn’t always show up. On the other hand the best memory I’ve with my mom so far is her showing up to my games and cheering out loud.

20% Project Baking Week #4

This week I made m&m cookies for the class! The recipe is  from the website celebratingsweets.com and according to google it’s rated 5 stars. I am now getting the hang of making cookie’s. This website also includes all the essentials like the tools instructions, and the ingredient’s. This was an amazing because I accomplished making m&m cookies for the class and also shared some with my family. I used four treys in total for all of the cookies. Some struggles I had was cleaning up my mess and I forgot how to insert the mixing insert and I accidentally ejected the inserter which also almost hurt someone or damaged something. On the other hand I had some adjustments which were after taking the cookies out and letting the cookies sit, I put them in boxes just enough for the class. Next week I will be working on making blue berry muffins.

20% Project Week #3

This week I am going to make peanut butter cookies with a reese’s chocolate on top. One of my favorite chocolates are resse’s. Preppykitchen.com was the website I got my recipe from and was rated 5 stars according to google. It includes the instructions, tools, and ingredient’s that are needed. This week was amazing because I made peanut butter cookies, but until I put the batter too close to each other it made a problem. Because of putting the batter too close to each other, I put another trey for the cookies so that they would have more space. On the other hand I knew the right measurements for the batter unlike last time I struggled which measures to use for the batter. I baked 2 big treys of peanut butter cookies and also shared some with my family. This was a great week even though I made some mistakes with the placement on the trey. Next week I am going to try to make M&M cookies for the class.

20% Project Week #2

This week I finished writing my recipe for baking s’mores cookies. Some successes that I experienced were buying the supplies and learning how to use the measuring spoons more precise. Because I got confused between the measurements tablespoon and teaspoon because of how similar they look. I wrote on a piece a post it note TBSP meaning tablespoon, and TSP meaning teaspoon.  Next week I am going to bake my s’mores cookies and peanut butter cookies with a reese’s on top.

Favorite Room in the House

The room in my home that is my favorite is my room. Here are three reasons why my room is my favorite room in my house. First reason why my room is my favorite is because I love sleeping in my own bed and I get to relax. Next reason is that I have a gaming setup which means I am able to play whenever I am bored and also play together with friends. Last reason why my room is my favorite room in my home is because I get to have some privacy and I have time to be alone.

20% Project Week #1

For week 1 my 20% project was about baking. This week I wrote a recipe to make chocolate chip cookies from the website joyfoodsunshine.com.  This week  I succeeded in making cookies. Something I struggled with while making cookies is the placement of the cookies on the pan and forgetting to put the brown sugar in the batter. Because of having a lot of cookie batter, and forgetting to put brown sugar. I added more baking pans, and mixed the brown sugar together with the batter. Next week I’ll be working on my recipe for s’mores cookies!

Greatest Player of all Time

If I had to choose who is the greatest player of all time (G.O.A.T) in the NBA it would be Lebron james. Here are my five reasons why Lebron James is the G.O.A.T of the NBA. The first reason why is that he has the most points in NBA history, he currently has over 50,000 points. Next reason is that he is still dominating at an old age also making him the oldest to have the most points. Third reason why Lebron is the G.O.A.T is because of how of a skilled player he is. He can score on anybody and make it look easy. Another reason why  Lebron James is the G.O.A.T is that he can play any position while on the court. The last reason why Lebron is the G.O.A.T is that he has 4 time champion and mvp.

Rad Reading March

For this month I read Spy School by Stuart Gibbs. This is a fiction book about a 12 year old middle schooler named Ben Ripley who is a clever boy and the CIA which is the top secret spy facility wanted Ben to be apart of their academy. While ben being thrilled he is there at spy school and makes friends  then finds out the mole(Murray Hill) who works for SPYDER, an evil organization has infiltrated the school. What will happen to Ben?

I really recommend reading Spy School by Stuart Gibbs because this book had tons of action and the author did a good job on describing what was happening during the book. This book had some Cliff hangers which made it really intense.

Ben Ripley the protagonist was my favorite character in the book because he is very clever. On pg 5, “For example, you’re a straight-A student who speaks three languages and has level 16 math skills.” This provided example on pg 5 shows me that Ben is my favorite character because is very smart.

My favorite quote from the book is “I though everyone could do complex mathematical equations in their heads…” This was my favorite quote in the book because it means to me that everyone thinks differently and it isn’t a bad thing. Everyone is smart.

Who I would invite to Dinner

There are so many people I would want to invite to dinner, but these are my top three: Lebron James, Kobe Bryant, and my mom and dad. I choose to invite Lebron James as my first option because in my eyes he is the greatest player of all time. I would ask him tips on life and basketball. Next reason why I choose to invite Kobe is because he is only one of the greatest basketball players in the NBA but sadly he has passed away. Lastly I choose my mom and dad is because I know I am going to have a fun time with Lebron, Kobe, and my mom and dad.
